Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup mix, di mana indeks Dow Jones ditutup menguat mencapai rekor tertinggi, sebaliknya indeks S&P500 dan Nasdaq Composite ditutup melemah akibat koreksi pada saham sektor teknologi. Pasar tampaknya kembali melakukan rotasi sektor dari saham sektor teknologi ke saham sektor lainnya. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah menguat karena Libia akan menghentikan produksi minyak di tengah perselisihan siapa yang akan memimpin bank sentral. Sedangkan harga emas menguat didorong oleh ekspektasi penurunan suku bunga The Fed serta kenaikan permintaan akan safe haven di tengah ketegangan politik.

IHSG pada perdagangan Senin 26 Agustus 2024 ditutup menguat 0,82% pada level 7606. Saham sektor consumer cyclical membukukan penguatan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor teknologi mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net buy Rp929,44 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non regular. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 7570/7550 dan resistance 7650/7670. Stock pick: BBRI, BBNI, BBTN, BRIS, ADRO, ITMG, HRUM, ADHI, PTPP, WIKA, MDKA
