Indeks di bursa Wall Street pada akhir pekan lalu ditutup menguat terbatas dan selama sepekan ketiga indeks utama Wall Street ditutup di teritori negatif. Pergerakan indeks pasar pekan lalu berfluktuasi tinggi di tengah kekhawatiran akan resesi ekonomi AS, dampak carry trade, penguatan yen Jepang dan penurunan yield US-Treasury secara tajam. Namun data initial claims yang dirilis Kamis pekan lalu meredam kekhawatiran akan potensi resesi ekonomi AS. Sehingga mendorong rebound indeks serta mulai terjadinya aksi beli selektif terhadap saham-saham yang telah mengalami koreksi dalam.

Data ekonomi AS yang akan dirilis pada pekan ini diantaranya PPI, CPI, retail sales, initial claims, building permits, housing starts dan Mich Sentiment. Dari domestik, data ekonomi yang akan dirilis diantaranya penjualan sepeda motor dan neraca perdagangan.

IHSG pada perdagangan Jumat 9 Agustus 2024 ditutup menguat 0,86% pada level 7257. Semua sektor menguat dengan kontribusi kenaikan terbesar pada saham sektor basic material. Investor asing mencatatkan net buy Rp450,63 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non regular. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 7195/7170 dan resistance 7270/7300. Stock pick: BBCA, BMRI, BRIS, BBNI, JSMR, INDF, ADMR, TINS, INDY, BSDE, SMRA, CTRA
